Why Choose Florida Certified Home Inspections?

We were voted the #1 home inspector by Florida Home Buyer’s Guide because we offer the most detailed home inspection in the industry at unbeatable low prices.  We far exceed State and National Home Inspection standards to provide our clients with a complete list of any deferred maintenance items, and a cost forecast on anything that will need to be repaired or replaced for three years after your new home purchase.  You can count on us to ensure there will be no nasty surprises… now or in foreseeable future.

We Know Florida Homes

Each decade of Florida home construction has had its pitfalls.  From the knob & tube wiring found in 1920’s homes to the Chinese drywall of the 2000 era, we know what to look for in Florida homes.  There is no substitute for experience in home inspection and our home inspectors have it.

Our Technology

Today’s home inspection requires more than a clipboard and flashlight.  Because home inspections are limited to a “visual only” evaluation, it is of paramount importance that your home inspector uses the latest technology to see into walls where mold, leaking pipes, and faulty electrical wires hide.  At Florida Certified Home Inspections, we utilize infrared and laser thermography, as well as electronic pulse induction technology, to provide our clients with the most detailed home inspection in the industry.

Unbeatable Low Prices

We know that buying a new home can be expensive.  With down payments and closing costs eating into your savings, it’s nice to know you can save some money on your home inspection without having to settle for second best.

No Hidden Fees

When we quote you a price it won’t change when we arrive at the property.  Home inspection companies often quote one price over the phone, only to add undisclosed fees after arriving at the inspection.  This is the number one complaint that home buyers express after their home inspection.  We avoid this unpleasantness by not charging extra for pools & spas, boat docks & sea walls, private wells, septic systems, or crawlspaces.  Everything is included in our flat rate prices.

Not All Home Inspections Are The Same

Beware of “too good to be true” prices.  When shopping for a home inspection we strongly recommend that you ask two important questions: how much do you charge and how long will the inspection take?  If the answer is less than two hours… the inspector has no intention of getting on the roof or in the attic to fully inspect your home.  These unscrupulous home inspectors perform “walk through inspections” that don’t cover many of the items required under Florida licensure.  At Florida Certified Home Inspections, our average inspection takes three and a half hours to complete.

Wikipedia offers more information about Home Inspection, and you can visit the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI)  to see the Standards of Practice mentioned above.
